The VSS is organizing a national demonstration on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 5 p.m. on the Bundesplatz in Bern, with speeches and the official handover of the petition to political decision-makers. In addition, various sections of the VSS are organizing regional actions. We cordially invite you and your organization to join us and send a strong message of solidarity. Your presence counts—for education, for young people, for our future.

Program:
- From 4:30 p.m.: Arrival at Bundesplatz with DJ Denearis
- 5:00 p.m.: Welcome

- Symbolic handover of petition

- 6:30 p.m.: Farewell and thanks
We will meet for a rally and demonstration in Zurich, walk together through the city to the train station, and then travel to the demonstration in Bern.

- From 10 am: Joint design of posters and painting of a large banner on the Polyterrasse at ETH

- 08.31 pm: Departure by train to Zurich
Train Tickets to Bern
To enable as many people as possible to participate in the demonstration in Bern, we will be selling discounted tickets for the trip to Bern during the demonstration in Zurich. These tickets are day tickets and are only valid for the specified connection as part of the group ticket.
- Outbound to Bern: 3:32 p.m.
- Return to Zurich: 8:31 p.m.
The first 200 tickets will be sold on site for CHF 5 per person. For more tickets we will help you to form groups to get GA friends billets for 20 CHF per person.
Panel discussion
What are the federal government’s plans? Why are cuts being made to education? How will this affect students, our economy and Switzerland as a centre of innovation? We will be discussing the reasons behind the increase in tuition fees with politicians. Come along and ask all your questions in person!

MorOn October 1 at 12:00 noon, there will be speeches and information booths in front of the Amphimax building. Afterwards, we will travel together to the demonstration in Bern.
